What We Aim To Deliver

At SerenityYogaRetreats.com, we aim to provide more and more people from all around the World, the opportunity to discover more of their true and higher potential as human beings. Our mission involves raising awareness about who you are and where you currently are in your personal journey of life. It also involves you discovering and building clarity about where you want to be, what you want to create and who you need to be in order to have all that. And last but not least, we are focused on helping you become the person you need to be mentally, emotionally and physically, in order to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

We realize this is a pretty hefty mission, but if “We aim for the moon, then at the very least, we will land among the stars”!

My Story

My name is Mahindra Raj and I’ve been involved with Yoga for more than 20 years of my life. Although I say the last 20 years, my exposure to Yoga goes way back to the time when I was 6 years old (more than 30 years ago), when I used to watch my grandfather do practice his yoga daily at 5am every morning. My fascination with it began with seeing my grandfather and then later on my uncle, twist and bend their bodies into seemingly amazing positions – not to mention seeing them doing head stands and hand stands!

Personally, it started as purely a physical practice and it wasn’t until later on in life that I began to see the link between the mind, emotions and body. That got me to go deeper into my own Yoga practice and eventually get certified by Master Yoga Teacher, Tias Little who teaches what he calls “Prajna Yoga” (loosely translated to mean Wisdom Yoga). I’ve been teaching Yoga the since 2002. I’ve taught here in Mexico City, in the United States, in Thailand and of course here in Malaysia.

I’ve also developed myself as a Life Success Coach, using Neuro Strategies (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and my understanding of the link between body, mind and emotions to help people create lasting change and results in their life. I’ve been helping people Worldwide do that the last 6 years.

Then, in mid 2009, something “clicked” in my head and I began to see how, Yoga had the potential to create the balance, symmetry, awareness, focus and energy that I needed in order to create actual physical results in other areas of life when I linked it up with Neuro Strategies and my work as a Success Coach. So I began to seamlessly integrate my work as a Success and Results Coach into Yoga as a way to help people in a more effective way. That was the beginning of Serenity Yoga and how it was developed.

I consider myself a very lucky guy because I have had the good fortune and opportunities to be able to involve myself with ongoing mastery in so many powerful and transformational strategies for creating success while enjoying the process AND creating life balance and serenity.

How We Do What We Do

That’s right! We use Yoga as the vehicle for transformation. Yoga has long established the link and interconnectedness between the mind, body and spirit, or the mental, emotional and physical aspects of self (however you wish to look understand it). Therefore, Serenity Yoga helps you develop all those aspects to get closer to the results you want to have or create in your life. Some people say that Serenity Yoga works a lot with the unconscious or subconscious part of the mind, to help affect the transformations you need, in order to create lasting change.

What You Can Expect From Serenity Yoga And Me

I’ve always believed in one saying, “I don’t have time for nonsense!” You can expect truth from me and the work I do, AND more importantly also, you can expect to discover more of the truth about yourself. Remember I mentioned earlier, our mission is to get you from where you are and who you are right now, to where you want to be and who you need to be?

Well, in order to begin any journey, you must be willing and able to first of all, fully see and accept exactly where you are. We humans (most of us), are masters at disguising the truth, especially when it involves things we don’t like to see or accept. But I’m sure you realize that you, just like a GPS device, will not arrive at your destination if you first of all don’t know exactly where you are.

The other thing you can expect is, total dedication and focus to help you achieve the results you want in your body, mind and emotions. Like I said, a lot of the work happens at an unconscious level, but you do need to show up regularly and ready to create lasting results.

You can expect, if you show up and immerse yourself in this practice, to begin creating at least some of the results you want, in the next 3 to 6 months – even the stuff you’ve only dreamed about up to this point in your life.
